Travel moments is a small random collection of personal travel journals. Posts are published on the road with mobile phone, and not edited afterwards. It is my desparate attempt to remember moments and feelings while travelling. In Finnish.
Portfolio is a an unfinished symphony of visual communication things I do during work hours. Maybe someday time and effort will be found to actually add the content.
What?
Exploring the proper concept, design, visual tone and form for contents and brands in print and digital channels. Putting pieces in their right place and hierarchy in an attractive and functional manner. Cutting extra noise and keeping it clean and simple.
How & Why?
Ambitious in finding the most functional, usable and insightful solution in design where purpouse, content, visual alphabets and usability will complement each other and its users. Goal is to find the right questions. The most simple outcome is always hardest to achieve.
Appreciates open minds, bad ideas said out loud, stupid questions, holistic approach to projects, low key stance and low hierarchy, humble attitude but yet organized and responsible work philosophy. Balancing between socially minimalized introvert mind, love for colleagues anc co-working advantages.
Values details, traditional legability and grid system ideals, clean, modern and sophisticated design with playful attitude, polished typography, thoughtful information architecture, contemplated structure and hierarchy, and the ability to see individual components as part of the big picture and coherence.
Interested in opportunities to have still more holistic, directive role in design projects, keep my work palette up to date and be involved in the whole design process from the intresting why and how -questions, including concept and service design. Desperately trying to practice the “done is better than perfect” -attitude and not to be afraid of failing.
Who?
And at the end of day: pizza maximalist inspired by everyday adventurous moments and boring routines, sub cultures, clever words, contrasts, travelling far with backpack & little trips in nature close by, second hand and flea market strolls, urban exploration and abandoned places, vegetarian food, street art and cultures away from my own comfort zone, sauna (check our Urbaani saunakollektiivi!)
